The most powerful sentence for me was: "Asking people for their attention is no different than asking people for their money. You have to give them a real reason to give it to you." I've recently had to go back to pure business development for a living in order to gain independence. Selling in my mind is definitely an attention-catching game. Working on the principle that you will deliver value in exchange of their attention is an excellent idea.

Thanks Benoit. I see this as the most logical place to start. If people are not giving you their attention they certainly won't give you money.

Great read, Benjamin! I agree with your points.

I’d say the “just get started” advice is very helpful for people who are stuck in analysis paralysis. Over strategizing, editing drafts again and again. Then “just get started” can get them unstuck and into the momentum.

Cool newsletter, I’m glad I discovered it!

Excellent. I frequently find myself wondering what ever happened to begin with the end in mind? Shouldn’t there at least be a hint of that? There’s obviously value in merely putting one foot in front of the other but I too think it’s important to have a sense of destination… a direction of sorts. And to be remotely aware of the undertaking… the so called journey.
